Every hull below broadcasts its own position. We listen, match and publish.

celebyachts is a newsroom that runs on radio signals. Every large vessel broadcasts its own position, speed and heading over AIS, an open maritime protocol anyone can receive. We listen to that public feed, match each signal to a curated register of the world’s most notable pleasure craft, and report what the data shows.
We work from three things and no more: public AIS broadcasts, open corporate and class records, and our own reporting. Ownership that is reported but not documented is labelled exactly that. Where a figure is unknown we print a dash, not an estimate. The full method is on the masthead page.
Counted by AIS sea area at each hull’s most recent position report. The Mediterranean holds the fleet through the northern summer; the pattern inverts by December.
